Who We Are
The Tent is a 501(c)3 organization that exists to demonstrate the love of Jesus to all people by rebuilding and restoring our relationship with God and with others. Our purpose is to disciple others to be filled with the love of Jesus, wisdom of the Bible, and power of the Holy Spirit.
The Tent grew out of His Palace Ministries which was begun by Chrissie Shaheen in 1998:
"I met Jesus as my Lord and Savior in 1988 in Atlanta, Georgia and ten years later He allowed me to serve Him in Jerusalem. It was during this mission that I was called into a ministry of healing and reconciliation by building relationships and encouraging Christian women throughout Israel and the West Bank. While working in this ministry, the Lord gave me the vision of establishing ministry homes for women with the focus of providing refreshment, restoration and renewal. For decades since, I have continually seen the fruits of this vision, and in recent years, the Lord has expanded the original call to include men and families abroad.”
The Tent is comprised of 6 tent pegs that foster Relationships for Life.
Cup of Joy
The “Cup of Joy” is our non-profit coffee house that is strategically located on West Bank with a 98% Muslim population that offers a safe haven for the hurting, broken, and lost to experience the love of Jesus and transform hearts, while sharing a “Cup of Joy”.
One Heart
Raising up future generations of Arabs and Jewish believers to unify the Body of JESUS. We are bringing “The Peace of God”, “Shalom” to Arab and Jewish leadership teams in order to bridge loving and meaningful relationships with Jesus and the local community.
Yalla Ministry Teams
Mission teams in Israel and West Bank. “Becoming the hands and feet of JESUS”. An incredible combination of touring Biblical sites and serving the people of Israel & the West Bank in their homes, workplaces and churches. A unique Mission Trip that will bring greater insight to the Scriptures, the land, and the people. This consists of hands on, life-transforming experiences with the local community.
Mighty Men of God
Biblical discipleship and accountability meetings that restores heart and soul into the image of God. Fresh teachings and discussions provide development individually and as a small group. These small group meetings will prepare others for impactful missions’ outreach and evangelism.
Sabbath Rest Experience
A Sabbath Day of rest & renewal retreats where we draw closer to Jesus through worship, teaching, prayer, testimonies and fellowship. Israel is in dire need of healing from the war and restoration for their souls. Our mission is to help restore what the enemy has stolen.
Unity in the Park
Unity in the Park is young adults ministry events and meetings that help prepare and equip the next generation for kingdom work. We continue to host events where churches unite in worship, Bible teaching, prayer, and testimonies so that the world may know Jesus!
